Recently, VGChartz’s internal data revealed that Nintendo Wii Sports title that comes bundled with each Wii outside South Korea and Japan is the world’s best selling game. As per the report, Wii Sports passed ahead the sales of Super Mario Bros at 40.24 million units by December 27th, 2008.

It is believed that this game reached this milestone after 110 weeks of sales. The makers of the game feel proud to see that Wii Sports is now the best-selling game of all times. While there are others who believe that Wii Sports is not a game in the conventional sense and it lacks story.

Irrespective of the report that states Wii Sports as the best-selling game, many don’t even like comparing it with the popular Super Mario Bros, and consider it just to be a simple video game. Many people do feel that Wii Sports taking the place of Super Mario Bros is actually an insult of such great games.

According to recent researches done by the US Natural Resources Defense Council, those who play games from various gaming consoles from the comfort of their sofas are harming not just their health but also environment.

Reports revealed that over $160 are spent every year by the US games fans on their Sony Playstation 3. On the other hand, those playing games on Xbox 360 are likely to spend $143 per year. In future, this cost is bound to expand with the growing craze of the people in gaming.

However, those playing on Nintendo Wii game consoles have nothing to worry, as it has emerged as the greenest gaming console. Costing just $15 per year it saves fives times the power saved by Sony Playstation 3.

Bragging won’t do, real fighters need to show off their courage in the virtual boxing ring of the Face Breaker game. Throw down the gauntlet to the devilish boxers and win in this fresh introduction of the EA’s freestyle brand. The new fighting game brings mighty players into a boxing ring to knock down some roughest and toughest boxers of all the times.

Looking like a bunch of screwy boxers battering each other, it doesn’t fails to give you a dose of style and funk in the all the animated characters. Its reasonably good control mechanics help you strain every nerve to knock down the powerful boxers. Its variety of engaging levels like arcade, zoos, trailer parks, and insane asylums makes you go like crazy throughout the game.

The boxer factory seems to have the most interesting twist of the game. Well, you can design your own iron monster and launch him in the ring. You can even upload them on a content-sharing service that can afford 30 designs per user. All-in-all, this game exhibits some fine controls and enough light strategies to keep you involved.

The Wii version of Bionicle heroes definitely gives you enough reasons to give it a miss. The developers of the hugely entertaining Lego Star Wars Games trotted out the Wii update of last year’s PS2/Xbox/GC Bionical game with the same tricks of the trade-plastic buliding bricks and all that.

Some occasionally humorous scenes and interesting visual elements might force you to have a whack at this not-so-heroic game. But, otherwise from poor Wii controls to the dull gameplay, nothing is worth a watch. The boring experience is further made worse by the inclusion of Hero mode.

Ruling out the broken Wii controls and repetitive play, game doesn’t even have anything to offer beyond the single player mode. Even sound effects and musical score couldn’t wake you from the sleep.

Though game is dull and drab, it has some 25 levels to reach and win. And even has some huge number of collectables and unlockables to keep your interest intact. Moreover, graphic artists have done a decent job since Bionicle has enough impressive visuals to flaunt. The water effects in particular, stun you immensely and explosions rather terrify you to death. All in all, better chuck out this Bionicle offering if you don’t want to doze off in the middle of playing.
